The Jewish community in Brooklyn is facing another bias incident after a swastika was found scrawled in Crown Heights Thursday, officials say.
Councilman Chaim Deutsch tweeted a photo of the vandalism, depicting a swastika drawn in the snow on the hood of a Jewish family’s car.
Deutsch has publicly condemned what he is calling a "disturbing rise" in hate crimes across the city, noting that there has been nearly one hate crime every day in the first two months of 2019.
The councilman has since announced that he will be co-hosting a Rally Against Hate with fellow councilwoman Karen Koslowitz this Sunday at James Madison High School.
