Tenants rally against landlord in Crown Heights
Tenants of an apartment complex in Crown Heights rallied Wednesday against a landlord they say is pushing them out.
They rallied outside of their apartment complex at 1045 Union St.
Residents say their landlord is harassing them by continuing to raise rents and illegally split up vacant units.
They claim when someone moves out of a unit, the landlord reconstructs the space and splits it into multiple dwellings to raise the price of rent.
Meanwhile, the tenants claim their units are neglected and unfixed of needed repairs.
