The Brooklyn Nets have been off the court for more than a month, but the team is still keeping busy by giving back to the community. 

The team was outside the Barclays Center Monday for the fifth annual Trees for Threes Program, with tax firm Price Waterhouse Cooper and the nonprofit New York Restoration Project.

Trees are planted around the borough in community gardens, outside of schools and in private yards according to the number of three-point shots made by the Nets at their arena.

Shooting guard K.J. McDaniels and former Nets player and Brooklyn native Albert King were on hand to meet with community members.

Since the program started in 2012, more than 1,000 trees have been distributed.
