The United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg broke ground Wednesday afternoon on its new headquarters in Williamsburg.
The organization was established in 1966 to support Holocaust survivors and other refugees with a full range of social services.
The event was held at 498 Bedford Ave.
The new building will increase social services to Williamsburg's community of 75,000.
The project is expected to cost $9.3 million.
