A vacant home went up in flames in Sheepshead Bay.
It started on the second floor of the East 16th Street house, and quickly spread up into the third floor and attic.
The fire chief says that they found several beds inside, even though no one was technically supposed to be living there. The gas and electric are being shut off in case the home was being used by squatters.
The Department of Buildings will be evaluating the structure to make sure that it's stable, while the fire marshal is trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
