A vigil and prayer session were held Saturday afternoon in Co-op City to pray for the teenage victim of a stabbing that took place last week.
More than 15 neighbors gathered at P.S. 160 to offer their support and prayers to the family of 16-year-old Gabriel Quinones, who was stabbed in the head and chest last week while waiting for the bus. Quinones remains in critical condition. The vigil was organized by local residents to show unity against violence in their community.
Parents say they believe it takes a village to raise a child, and they do not intend to let their guard down against senseless violence that can harm their children.
