Vigil in Williamsburg pays tribute to outspoken domestic violence victims – and those who suffer in silence

A vigil dedicated to those affected by domestic abuse is happening outside the 90th Precinct in Williamsburg.
North Brooklyn Coalition says the vigil is honoring survivors of abuse who chose to speak out and to those who are living through those situations in silence.
According to city data, the NYPD responded to more than 231,000 domestic incident reports in 2021. More than 56,000 of those calls came from Brookyn.
News 12’s Mary-Lyn Buckley was there for the vigil and rally that followed.
