Many residents in Wakefield are losing patience with a sinkhole they say has been draining their wallets for years.
According to local drivers, Needham Avenue has caused hundreds of dollars in damage to cars that don't steer clear of the hole in time. They complain their pleas to get it fixed have been ignored.
The Department of Design and Construction says it will begin patching up the road next fall, but until then, it's the city's Transportation and Environmental Protection departments that are in charge of repairs.
