A woman is in the hospital after an accident Saturday morning on the Belt Parkway.
The accident took place right before the Fort Hamilton Parkway exit just after 3:30 a.m.
Police say there were two cars involved in the crash. Authorities say one of the cars sent the other flying into the trees off the highway.
Investigators say a 22-year-old woman was taken to Lutheran Hospital.
The accident caused slow westbound traffic while investigators reconstructed the scene.
There is no word yet on the names of any of those involved.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
