San Francisco officials are cracking down on people sleeping in their train stations and subways.
The MTA and NYPD police say that sleeping on the subway is not prohibited, but taking up or obstructing more than one seat is not allowed.
Officials in San Francisco say they are not targeting the homeless with the sleeping ban. They are enforcing the rules so stations can be evacuated quickly in the event of an emergency.
