A 9-year-old organized a fall-themed fundraiser to help fight childhood diabetes.

Gabriella Sommers has diabetes and is a part of the Research Foundation.

She organized a pumpkin patch fundraiser at her house in Hazlet in the hope of giving back.

Local businesses helped with hay, marketing and pumpkins.

Sommers set a goal to raise $1,500, but she raised $2,000 in 48 hours.
