Police found a dead man's body in an SUV parked near the intersection of Avenue J and East 16th Street in Midwood.
Witnesses told police that the vehicle had been parked in the space since at least Sunday, according to officials. Police responded to the vehicle at around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The Lexus SUV has New Jersey license plates, and it had been issued a parking ticket.
Witnesses who saw the vehicle before police cordoned off the area say the body was in the back seat and had a bag over its head.
There are reports that the death was a suicide, but that has not been confirmed by authorities.
