A blanket of snow and freezing rain covered the borough Saturday night into Sunday, leaving residents to clean up Mother Nature?s mess.
While the Department of Sanitation claims it sent out its entire crew to salt and plow roads, some residents said they didn?t see any cleanup crews in their neighborhood.
One resident said he wishes the neighborhood was better maintained, and that he feels other neighborhoods are clean even before the residents wake up.
While some residents said they had difficulty getting where they needed to go, other locals said that while the snow made things more difficult, they did what they had to do anyway.
Residents say they are trying to get their shoveling done before the snow turns to ice. Temperatures are predicted to drop into the 20s throughout the borough and winds are expected to pick up Sunday night.
