Cash registers remained silent at Brooklyn restaurants as Mother Nature pounded the city with freezing rain on the usually busy Valentine's Day.
In Brighton Beach, managers at Tatiana's Restaurant didn't expect all 200 people to keep their reservations. Freezing rain, snow, sleet and icy roads made it hard for couples to celebrate the day.
Restaurant owners say they understand the need to stay indoors. They say they'll just have to take a hit this Valentine's Day and hope for the best in 2008.
