A chunk of cement fell from the ceiling of one of the parking garages at the Westfield Trumbull Mall, prompting a closure, officials say.
The incident happened Sunday and impacted both the upper and bottom decks of the garage by Target.
Officials say part of the parking deck had to be closed off when a pothole approximately 24 inches wide by 24 inches deep opened on the upper level of the mall's Red Garage.
Some concrete debris fell through to the lower parking area, but no one was injured.
The parking deck is closed today, but the mall is open.
