A Crown Heights family whose been in their home for more than 70 years says they are still fighting to keep it from being taken from them.
Ida Robinson and her husband purchased the home at 964 Park Place in 1951.
In 2015, Robinson's daughter, Helen, says they refinanced the home - that's when Robinson's signature was allegedly forged on the deed and the home was stolen.
"She's not here anymore, so we are the remnants of my mother and my father," said Helen Robinson, Ida's daughter.
The family says the deed swindlers have harassed them - and even went inside their home while they were away.
"We were all here, afraid, scared," said Shereace Torain, Ida's granddaughter. "Meanwhile, the other tenant union members were outside fighting off these gangsters.”
The family's lawyer told News 12 the case has substantial evidence, and the main goal now is to ensure the family has the title and ownership to the family home once again.
