A new program at Kingsborough Community College aims to help young fathers return to school.
Allijah McClean, 24, says he began to yearn to go back to school six months ago after the birth of his second daughter.
He enrolled in the CUNY Fatherhood Academy, a program that began at LaGuardia Community College in 2012 and recently expanded into Brooklyn.
The 16-week course load helps young fathers earn GEDs and prepare for college or vocational schools.
Some of the fathers enrolled in the program say it also helps them act as better role models for their own kids.
