5 Port Jervis residents displaced by fire

Five people were displaced by a fire in Port Jervis Thursday night and are now receiving aid from the American Red Cross Hudson Valley Chapter.
The Port Jervis Fire Department says flames broke out inside a home on Owen Street Thursday evening.
Everyone got out safely and fire crews were able to knock out the flames in less than ten minutes.
Fire damage was limited to the attic but residents were not allowed back in the home overnight.
The Red Cross provided shelter, food, and clothing to four adults and a 7-year-old child.
