A new Spanish restaurant is serving up sweet traditional treats in Brooklyn with a twist.
Dulcinea NYC has only been at the Dekalb Market Hall for three months, but their headline dessert, the churro, recently won Vendy Award's Best Dessert.
The churro has been a part of Spanish culture for years, and Dulcinea serves theirs alongside thick rich Spanish chocolate.
The classic favorite shares the menu with more daring versions of the comfort food like the Unicorn Ice Cream Churro Sandwich, which is two classic churros hand rolled into buns and finished with sprinkles.
As Dulcinea puts its own twist on the classic churro, it seems like they are waking up the taste buds of dessert fans everywhere.
