Several gangs came together Friday to put an end to the violence in Brooklyn.
Latin Kings, Crips, Bloods and peace groups marched in solidarity against outbreaks of violence in neighborhoods like Brownsville that they say have gotten out of control.
The various street organizations teamed up with clergy members in the community to show that they can set aside their differences for a common goal.
This is the first time a peace walk such as this one has been put together, but organizers say they plan to hold more.
