The Greenpoint ferry was supposed to be up and running today, but unforeseen problems pushed the start back until Saturday.
The ferry, transporting residents across the East River, is intended to alleviate the commute for many subway riders, since the G line will see partial closures starting tonight.
The ferry was previously closed for six months when a ramp collapsed at the India Street dock.
The ferry is expected to be running again on Saturday.
