An intense evening thunderstorm Monday left tree branches on the ground and streets flooded in Brooklyn.
On Glenwood Road in East Flatbush, the downpour left a number of cars stranded between Schenectady Avenue and East 46th Street.
One driver told News 12 that people were helping one another push their cars clear.
On a more positive note, neighbor Nina Millard says residents came outside to cool off from the earlier heat in the water.
The flooding caused traffic in both directions.
