A tip call led police to a backyard in Crown Heights where they discovered human skeletal remains.
Investigators dug up the backyard of a brownstone at 657 St. Johns Place Thursday night after being told that there was a body buried at that location.
The medical examiner has confirmed that the remains are human, but the person's identity and cause of death remain under investigation.
According to neighbors, there used to be a lot of illegal activity at the home 10 years ago, but they say much has changed since then, including new residents.
Authorities say they don't believe the people currently living in the home have anything to do with the body.
