Hundreds of dedicated Catholics turned out this weekend to take part in an annual walk from Manhattan to a church on Sloop Avenue in Williamsburg.

The event, which has taken place for 34 years, honors the Virgin Mary. It all started with a group of devoted followers back 1984 and it quickly grew to include hundreds of people taking part in the annual "Marathon of Guadalupe."

Participants say the walk is a labor of love to express their devotion to "La Virgen Morena." It's about a three-mile walk, and participants pray, sing and dance.

Felix Corona has been taking part in the celebration for the past 30 years and says it a moment where people can gather together and offer their pain, struggles, wishes and thank their beloved Lady of Guadalupe.

The walk is followed by a Mass, plus music and traditional Mexican dance performances.
