Some Jerome Avenue business owners are surveying the damage Sunday after a suspicious three-alarm fire swept through their stores.
Fire officials say the blaze started around 3 a.m. Sunday in the Cuba Mattress Furniture store. Flames spread to a tire shop, parking garage and restaurant. Several owners told News 12 The Bronx they do not have insurance, they're just hoping to salvage what they can.
The fire is the second one over the past two months in the 1800 block of Jerome Avenue. The fire marshal believes a group of kids may be to blame.
