A quick-thinking shop worker helped save the life of a man after a brutal stabbing in Crown Heights.
Police say the attack occurred just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening near Troy Avenue and Montgomery Street.
Witnesses say the injured man walked into a corner store and cried out for help. They say the shop worker tended to his stomach wound and called 911.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition, according to investigators.
Authorities say residents are on edge because this is the second stabbing incident that occurred in the area in less than a week.
Authorities say the incident occurred just a few blocks away from the first attack.
Police say there is no indication the two recent stabbings are connected.
The investigation is ongoing.
