Man fatally struck by car while crossing Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant
A man was struck and killed while crossing the street Sunday morning in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Witnesses say the female driver hit the man as he was crossing Gates Avenue at the corner of Bedford Avenue.

A man was struck and killed while crossing the street Sunday morning in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Witnesses say the female driver hit the man as he was crossing Gates Avenue at the corner of Bedford Avenue. It happened at around 10:45 a.m. as the driver was on her way to church.
After being struck, witnesses say the man, who appears to be homeless, was dragged by the gold Chrysler for several yards, ultimately killing him.
Police are investigating whether the man was crossing the street illegally, or whether the driver was speeding.
The victim has not yet been identified by authorities.
