A Bronx teen who has autism has been returned to her family safe and sound after she went missing yesterday afternoon. Janice Lewis, 17, disappeared shortly after leaving her Manhattan school yesterday. Family members say they were distraught because she has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old. Her mother had been especially upset because she had taken away her daughter's cell phone the night before, she says. Lewis was found in a Brooklyn hospital that's quite some distance from her school and home, according to officials and relatives. Lewis' mother says she had coached her daughter on what to do if she ever got into trouble: she told the girl to look for anyone in a uniform to ask for help.
