Retail experts predict this Black Friday will have a major in-person comeback after the pandemic kept many people at home last year.

Most stores have decided to keep their doors closed on Thanksgiving, including some that used to open on the holiday before the pandemic, such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Kohl's, Macy's, Dick's Sporting Goods and JCPenney.

When Black Friday does get underway, the National Retail Federation says nearly two million more people than last year will shop through Cyber Monday.

The federation also says 64% of customers are likely to spend their money in-store, which is up from 51% last year when COVID-19 concerns kept many people at home.

“People like going to stores when they're buying gifts. They like to touch, feel products, see it,” says Katherine Cullen, of the National Retail Federation.

With high prices and the possibility of product shortages, experts say that if you see a deal you want, buy it as soon as you can.
