Sunday marked the return trip for thousands who headed through the Garden State up or down the East Coast after a four-day Thanksgiving weekend.
There wasn’t much relief to be found on the New Jersey Turnpike.
News 12 New Jersey’s Tom Krosnowski spoke with drivers who headed as far north as Rhode Island and as far south as Washington, D.C. They were tired of traveling, but full of food and family.
For New Jersey residents, the holiday weekend traffic is as much a tradition as gravy and stuffing, but it may not even end on Monday.
AAA says the worst time to travel on Monday will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
