A 36-year-old man was shot in the face in Clinton Hill on Saturday, according to the NYPD.

Those who live nearby tell News12 the neighborhood has been on an upswing for years and they were shocked that an incident like this took place.
"It happened so fast. I was asking the guy to get off my stoop and went back into the house to get my keys to go to the grocery store, came back out and it was cops everywhere," said neighboring building owner Bernard McClain. "So it's been a long time since something like that's happened in this area, so it's kind of surprising. It really is because the neighborhood has come up so well."
