This year's annual Gaelic football match between New York's finest and bravest will be played in honor of two officers from Brooklyn.
Money raised through ticket sales will go to the families of NYPD officers Dennis Guerra and Rosa Rodriguez.
The two officers were overcome by carbon monoxide and smoke after they ran into a burning building in Coney Island last month. Guerra passed away from his injuries, and Rodriguez was hospitalized for six weeks.
The NYPD vs. FDNY game will be held at 6 p.m. on June 13 at Gaelic Park in the Bronx.
