NYPD: Officer shot in leg, in stable condition after confrontation with armed suspect
The NYPD says an officer was shot in the leg Tuesday night after confronting a suspect in Belmont.
Police say the officer was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital.
The officer is in stable condition at this time, according to police.
Police say the incident started as a confrontation with an armed suspect.
