The Orange County Democrats have a new chairman, and he is the younger county party leader in New York state.
Zak Constantine, 22, was elected as the new chairman at the county reorganizational meeting last week in Wallkill.
He will serve two years as chair.
Constantine replaced Brett Broge, who decided not to seek re-election after eight years.
Constantine says in part "Orange County is a deep purple community that has been well served by Democratic leadership where we have it, and our neighbors deserve more of that up and down the ballot.”
