Gluten was off the menu Sunday night at Freddy's Bar and Backroom, during a local "eat-up" market for gluten-free Brooklyn residents.
The event offered a range of options for people avoiding gluten.
The owners of Freddy's Bar and Levine's General Store say they wanted to get a few local restaurants together to share ideas and serve up some gluten-free dishes. Sunday's was the third event in the last three months.
"The idea came because I have a family member who has celiac's, and just being around the neighborhood in Brooklyn and not seeing so many foods in one place," says Deb Goldstein, of Levine's General Store, "I had the idea to have a pop-up market."?
