NBC, Univision and Macy's have all cut ties with Donald Trump after his comments about Mexican immigrants, and the Bronx may be added to that list.
A new online petition is asking city officials to cut off their contracts with Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point.
The petition was started by Bronx blogger and activist Ed Garcia Conde. He says that Trump insulted the Mexican community and the Bronx, which is home to one of the largest Mexican populations along the East Coast.
Conde adds that if Trump doesn't respect Bronx residents who helped finance the golf course with their taxes, then he shouldn't have any land there.
He hopes to add more names to the petition to get Trump's name off the golf course and turn it into a more accessible and affordable one for residents.
The petition has gained nearly 4,440 signatures.
City officials say they are reviewing their contracts with Trump after his comments.
The Trump Golf Links opened in April. The Trump organization has a 20-year concession agreement to operate the facility.
