Pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in the United States, is finally making its mark in New York City.
CityPickle is giving New Yorkers an opportunity to play the sport right in the heart of Central Park.
CityPickle features 14 can’t-miss blue courts right by Wollman Rink, and the courts can be booked hourly for groups of up to eight people.
“It hasn’t been easy for New Yorkers to play pickleball,” said Erica Desai, co-founder of CityPickle. “We think this is going to be a great opportunity for people who are curious about the sport and haven’t had a chance to play to come on down and see what all the buzz is about.”
Players can even book a cabana to have food and drink delivered courtside while you play. There are instructors on site that can teach new players how to pick up the game.
“We have a ton of clinics designed for brand-new players, 101 clinics, to beginners, immediate and advanced players, wherever you find yourself on the pickleball journey,” said Derek Sawer, director of pickleball at CityPickle.
The courts officially open on April 7 and will stay open seven days a week through Oct. 9.
