Police say a vehicle hit the 10-year-old boy near the intersection of 16th Avenue and 47th Street at around 7:30 p.m.
The driver did not stay on the scene, according to the NYPD.
The boy was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
Police say no arrests have been made.
