Authorities say a tip from a 911 call Friday led them to discovering a human torso along Breezy Point Beach in Queens.

Police say the call came in at around noon. Upon arriving at the scene, officers spotted an unidentified torso with legs attached laying in the sand.

News 12 has been told that medical examiners are working to determine what happened. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.

Authorities say an investigation is ongoing.
