The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office say a Hamilton man is charged with murder in a suspicious death in Hamilton Township.
Authorities say Harley Wildmann, 42, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, second-degree desecration of human remains, third- and fourth-degree weapons offenses and fourth degree tampering with evidence.
The prosecutor’s office has filed a motion to detain Wildmann pending trial.
Hamilton police received a call Tuesday around 6:45 a.m. from someone in the area of Clover Avenue who observed what appeared to be human remains near the cemetery. Police arrived and located a severely burned deceased victim. The victim was later identified as 39-year-old Lisa Lloyd, of Ewing.
Detectives collected video from the area surrounding the cemetery and identified a two-tone Chevy S10 pickup truck with New Jersey registration driving past early Tuesday morning. The vehicle could be seen stopping for several minutes in the area where the remains were found. A short time later, a large fire can be seen adjacent to the stopped vehicle.
Police are waiting on a cause of death for Lloyd as a well as a motive for the murder.
