Selling your old car may net you some extra bucks. Used-car prices are on the rise in 2021, with the average price being paid up almost 30% since January 2020, according to Edmunds.com. Data shows auto retailers are on the hunt to refill their pre-owned vehicle inventory which is leading to them paying more for used cars. One-year-old vehicles are now priced around $40,000 on average compared to just $29,000 a year ago.
Netflix is opening a new studio in New York as it continues its global expansion. The 170,000-square foot facility includes six sound stages, editing suites, and a commissary and has enough room to film two TV shows at once. With Netflix committing to a New York studio, the Big Apple continues to re-emerge as a production hub. This marks the latest in a global push for Netflix, which already has production facilities in Madrid, Seoul, Toronto and London.
The crypto market is still tumbling downward as it struggles to rebound from regulatory crackdowns throughout the world. Bitcoin is down just over 8% from last week as it continues to linger in the low $30,000 range, a far cry from its April high of around $64,000. The second-largest crypto, Ethereum has seen its value fall back down in the $1,800 range and is down more than 11% since last week. Dogecoin continues to see the largest drop-off, down more than 17% since last week.
