The final day of 2024 will be nice up and through around 6 p.m. The daylight hours will feature a mix of sun and clouds with highs above average again - near 50 degrees this afternoon. Plan on a wet evening from around 6 p.m. to just after midnight with scattered heavy rain and a thunderstorm around before tapering off to just a few spotty light rain showers after midnight.

After tonight's rain, the weather focus will be on the return of colder air moving back in starting at the end of the week. Highs on Thursday will be around 41 degrees, but highs will be stuck in the 30s starting on Friday and through all of next week.
