Tennis league serves up free lessons to BX kids

Bronx kids are hitting the borough's tennis courts and getting free instruction on the game. The New York Junior Tennis League is holding its annual summer program. Loaner rackets and balls are provided.

Bronx kids are hitting the borough's tennis courts and getting free instruction on the game.
The New York Junior Tennis League is holding its annual summer program. Loaner rackets and balls are provided. The program is open to children ages 6 to 18 and runs from July 2 to August 24.
Officials say the program is important to keep New York City children active and off the streets during the summer when school is out.
