Traffic headaches are about to get worse on the Throgs Neck Bridge. Starting Tuesday, crews will close one southbound lane as they repave a portion of the span. Officials say the work will take about three weeks and that crews will halt work on the Whitestone Bridge to alleviate congestion. Motorists are urged to use the Whitestone or RFK bridges as alternate routes into Queens.
