(AP) - The celebration of the Yankees' World Seriesvictory revs up with a Manhattan ticker-tape parade. When the jubilant players get to City Hall Plaza on Fridayafternoon, newly re-elected Mayor Michael Bloomberg will presentthem with the keys to the city. Lower Broadway is known as the Canyon of Heroes. Some 200ticker-tape parades have been held there, for "heroes" rangingfrom astronauts to sports champions to five-star generals. The Yankees will ride on a dozen parade floats assembled byworkers in Clifton, N.J. Even Kennedy International Airport got into the act - lightingits control tower with the Yankees' signature blue. The Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 on Wednesdaynight to claim their 27th championship. Live coverage of the parade will be available on News 12 The Bronx and News12.com beginning at 11 a.m.
