There are some major construction projects going on around the borough that travelers will need to be aware of during the weekend commute.
The Hugh L. Carey Tunnel will have a tube closed heading into Manhattan. The remaining tube will take on two-way traffic to accommodate for the construction, which will take place around the clock. It is expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
The Verrazano Bridge's upper level will be closed during the overnight hours on Saturday. It will reopen at 8 a.m. that morning. Travelers who use the bridge will have to drive on the lower level.
As usual, alternate side of the street parking rules will be in effect on Saturday citywide.
