A Brownsville woman is mourning the loss of her husband after he was fatally shot during an argument early Sunday morning.
Dion James was shot on the corner of Franklin Avenue and Union Street around 4 a.m.
His wife told News 12 Brooklyn that they had left a family party when the 30-year-old got into an argument with a random man.
The wife said she tried to steer her husband away from the argument, but as they walked down the block, six to seven people jumped him. He was then shot twice in the back.
His wife said she tried to save him using skills she learned as an EMT, but it was too late.
Police are still searching for the gunman.
