'Liv It Up' provides free social events for neurodiverse adults from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut

The local nonprofit, Liv It Up is breaking down barriers and spreading joy across the tri-state.

At the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, the nonprofit works alongside the owner of the theater to provide free noise-canceling headphones for people who might get overstimulated by loud noises.

Liv It Up hosts free gatherings every month, from sporting events, to dance parties to concerts with the goal of fostering lasting friendships.

The nonprofit is run by founder Polly Daddario and executive director Taylor Fitzpatrick, who say the initiative helps those in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.

"Being in the world sometimes and being neurodivergent is not always that easy. The sensory system is on high,” Daddario stated.
