A Brooklyn man said he was scared for his life as he was being assaulted inside of his own home in Bed-Stuy.
Ranique Williams said two people broke into his apartment with a gun and a 10-inch knife.
“They just kicked off my door,” said Williams. “I saw the gun, and I just started wrestling with them. That’s when I saw the knife just poking me up.”
Police said the assault happened around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 near MacDougal Street and Saratoga Avenue.
The 41-year-old victim told News 12 that he was stabbed three times in the stomach and hand. He spent four days in the hospital after he underwent emergency surgery and received several staples in his stomach.
Williams said he had just returned home from church when he was forced to fight for his life.
“I grabbed a chair to protect myself,” said Williams. “That’s how my life got saved.”
Williams said he did not recognize his attackers, who were wearing face masks and dressed in all black.
As of Monday night, it was unknown what led to the assault or whether Williams was the intended targeted.
“If you’re out there and you hear this, just please surrender,” said Williams.
Police sources told News 12 on Monday that they’re searching for one man and one woman.
